Ubud, Temples & Rice Terraces

Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar), you will be warmly greeted by our team and transferred to your boutique hotel in Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali. After freshening up, take a leisurely walk through the Ubud Royal Palace (Puri Saren Agung) , a historical landmark with exquisite traditional architecture.

Start your morning with a visit to the Ubud Monkey Forest, a sacred sanctuary where over 700 long-tailed macaques roam freely among ancient temples and towering banyan trees. Your guide will share fascinating stories about the monkeys' behavior and the forest's spiritual significance. Next, drive north to the famous Tegallalang Rice Terraces. Marvel at the subak system, a traditional Balinese irrigation cooperative passed down through generations. 

Today begins before dawn. At 3:30 AM, you will drive to the base of Mount Batur (approx. 1.5 hours) for a sunrise trek. With a local guide, you will hike 2 hours up this active volcano to reach the summit just as the sun rises over the caldera, painting the lake below in shades of gold and pink. After a light breakfast at the top, descend back down. Instead of just driving back, you will hop on a bicycle for a 2-hour cycling tour through the volcanic foothills. 

Enjoy a relaxing morning at your leisure. You may choose to explore more of Ubud's galleries, take a yoga class, or simply lounge by the pool. Depending on your flight schedule, our team will transfer you back to Ngurah Rai International Airport, bringing your magical Bali journey to a sweet end with cherished memories.
